Lombok Beachside Dining

Senggigi

Dining along the beach strip of Serenggigi is an experience you shouldn’t miss. Beautiful sunsets combined with white sand and a blue ocean make you feel like you’re in paradise. The strip is filled with bars, dive shops and most of all; restaurants. The most famous of these restaurants is De Quake.

Mataram

Mataram is the capital of the province in which Lombok is situated. Bandara Internasional Lombok is a beautiful modern airport which allows for you to easily access Lombok. Move to the beach strips north and south of this town from here.

Batu Bolong

This area is focused on the hotels that are situated in this area, but doesn’t mean that you can’t find food here. The area might sound a bit touristy, but it’s claimed to be quite the opposite. As all of Lombok is mostly focused on locality, most tourists tend to stay in Bali, this area shows you why. And you don’t have to wait long to find a restaurant here, they are located everywhere.

It is said that in this area of the world, the ocean is bluest and the sunset is most beautiful. Maybe it’s just rumors, but what can be said is that many people come to this island for the amazing waves to surf on, the sea to dive in and the seafood to eat! De Quake. Seafood with a worldwide popularity. Everybody who has been to Lombok knows of the wonderful dishes that are prepared fresh here. It’s an open-air restaurant where the sunset is apparently the most beautiful in all of Senggigi. Amazing for tourists! But you can also find lots of locals enjoying this restaurant.

Basillico Restaurant

Located in the Senggigi Beach Hotel on Batu Bolong, you will find amazing Italian food with a wonderful sunset. They make their pizza’s with a wood oven and the view is amazingly exotic!

Asmara

Made famous by expats, this jungle looking restaurant has an amazing combination of European and Indonesian cuisine. Try the dish the Dutch introduced here; frikadellen!

Alang Alang

Located in Mangsit, north of Serenggigi, Lombok beachside dining is exotic and romantic. The fish here is served fresh daily and the menu is authentic Indonesian.
