Lombok is an island off the coast of Indonesia. It is a rather large island that is home to over three million inhabitants. As an island that is nearly 2,000 square miles in size, there is a lot to do on the island, including diving. Here are the top ten things to do while in Lombok.


Manta Dive: Looking for some of the best diving in all of Lombok, then look no farther. Manta Dive offers some great dives with multilingual instructors and beginners courses with great facilities to learn in.

Mount Rinjani: As the second highest mountain in Indonesia, Mount Rinjani offer terrific views at 3,726 meters tall. It is a volcano with a huge crater lake and smaller active volcano inside. Take a tour of the crater's rim and enjoy the spectacular views.

Gili Islands: These tiny islands in Lombok are a great place to get away and do a little horseback riding and some scuba diving, a favorite in Lombok. Enjoy the beautiful marine life including sea turtles, corals and fish.

Kuta Beach: Located on the south end of Lombok, Kuta Beach offers exceptional views and a perfect place to go surfing, fishing and swimming on a beautiful beach in the ocean.

Beautiful Life: This romantic getaway offers a place to enjoy Lombok from a different perspective. Relax in a nice hut while enjoying a movie. Stay a few nights in the hut and sample the tasty popcorn.

Masjid Bayan Beleq: This mosque is small in size, only 81 square meters. The low walls are made of woven bamboo and the roof is composed of overlapping shaped pieces of bamboo. It was constructed in the 17the century.

Sukara: A visit to Lombok is not complete without learning about Lombok's culture in weaving. Sukara is the perfect place to do just that. It offers free weaving demonstrations and shops to buy merchandise.

Pura Agung Narmada: This park offers swan pedal boats and a swimming pool to enjoy with the locals. While it has become kind of run down, Pura Aguna Narmada is still a site not to miss when visiting Lombok.

Mayura Water Palace: This public ground can be visited by all the locals and offers great tour guides. The majestic waterfall is something that should not be missed when making a visit to Lombok.
